Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all the natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade which is reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from Goods Export Notification Documents (PEB) from Customs and Excise. Commodities that have been the mainstay of Southeast Sulawesi include iron and steel as well as various marine products, while export destination countries are spread across the continent of Asia to America.

Southeast Sulawesi's export value in October 2022 reached US$569.84 million, an increase of 3.04 percent compared to September 2022 exports which were recorded at US$553.02 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in October 2022 was recorded at 286.26 thousand tons, an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the export volume in September 2022 which was recorded at 282.40 thousand tons.

Southeast Sulawesi's import value in October 2022 reached US$121.94 million, down 59.37 percent compared to August 2022 or down 54.96 percent compared to October 2021.

The import volume for October 2022 was valued at 277.99 thousand tons, down 12.96 percent compared to September 2022 or down 66.49 percent compared to October 2021.
