Abstract

The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in April 2023 reached US$183.32 million, down 57.54 percent compared to exports in March 2023 which were recorded at US$431.76 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in April 2023 was recorded at 94.60 thousand tons, down 56.56 percent compared to the export volume in March 2023 which was recorded at 217.77 thousand tons.
  • The largest increase in Southeast Sulawesi exports in April 2023 occurred in the commodity Oilseeds worth US$0.60 million (up 173.52 percent), where in March it was US$0.35 million, increasing to US$0.95 million in April.
  • According to Sector, April 2023 Southeast Sulawesi exports were dominated by the manufacturing sector amounting to US$181.98 million (99.27 percent).
  • The import value of Southeast Sulawesi in April 2023 reached US$130.02 million, down 49.08 percent compared to March 2023 or down 16.75 percent compared to April 2022.
  • The April 2023 import volume was valued at 259.69 thousand tons, down 53.22 percent compared to March 2023 or down 19.56 percent compared to April 2022.
  • The largest increase in imports of goods categories in April 2023 compared to March 2023 was Various Chemical Products worth US$4.48 million (an increase of 88.07 percent).
