Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's export value in June 2023 reached US$234.54 million, down 21.36 percent compared to exports in May 2023 which were recorded at US$298.24 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in June 2023 was recorded at 147.22 thousand tons, down 11.95 percent compared to the export volume in May 2023 which was recorded at 167.21 thousand tons.

The largest increase in Southeast Sulawesi exports in June 2023 occurred in the commodity Oilseeds worth US$0.03 million (up 11.48 percent), where in May it was US$0.26 million, increasing to US$0.28 million in June.

By sector, Southeast Sulawesi's exports in June 2023 were dominated by the manufacturing sector, amounting to US$234.02 million (99.78 percent).

Southeast Sulawesi's biggest exports in June 2023 were to China, namely US$220.00 million, followed by India with US$11.04 million, and the United States with US$2.73 million.

Southeast Sulawesi's import value in June 2023 reached US$89.58 million, down 40.69 percent compared to May 2023 or down 67.13 percent compared to June 2022.

June 2023 import volume was valued at 233.68 thousand tons, down 40.53 percent compared to May 2023 or down 46.90 percent compared to May 2022.

The largest increase in imports of goods categories in June 2023 compared to May 2023 was Vehicles and their parts valued at US$0.31 million (up 15.40 percent).
