Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's export value in December 2022 reached US$503.42 million, an increase of 1.16 percent compared to November 2022 exports which were recorded at US$497.67 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in December 2022 was recorded at 219.18 thousand tons, a decrease of 28.55 percent compared to the export volume in November 2022 which was recorded at 306.75 thousand tons.
  • The biggest increase in Southeast Sulawesi exports in December 2022 occurred in Iron and Steel commodities worth US$6.21 million (up 1.26 percent) where in November it was US$493.45 million, increasing to US$499.66 million in December.
  • By Sector, Southeast Sulawesi Exports in December 2022 were dominated by the processing industry sector amounting to US$503.29 million (99.97 percent)
  • Southeast Sulawesi's import value in December 2022 reached US$110.86 million, down 45.67 percent compared to November 2022 or down 7.09 percent compared to December 2021.
  • The December 2022 import volume was valued at 221.95 thousand tons, down 43.14 percent compared to November 2022 or up 30.05 percent compared to December 2021.
  • The largest increase in imports of the category of goods in December 2022 compared to November 2022 was Machinery / Mechanical Aircraft, which amounted to US$3.65 million (an increase of 58.91 percent).
