Abstract

  • In May 2012, NTP of each sub-sector in Southeast Sulawesi was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTP-P) 86.04; Horticultural Sub-sector (NTP-H) 121,48; Plantation Crops Subsector (NTP-R) 123,64; Livestock Subsector (NTP-Pt) 90.70 and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTP-Pi) 107.99. Where the Southeast Sulawesi NTP recorded 106.67 or increased 0.35 percent over the previous month, or ranked fifth nationally. While the National NTP of 104.77 or rose by 0.06 percent.
  • In May 2012, 17 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while another 15 provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase of NTP occurred in East Java Province by 0.51 percent. While the largest NTP decline occurred in West Sumatra Province of 1.01 percent.
  • In May 2012, the rural consumer price index in Southeast Sulawesi declined by 0.15 percent. This happens because of the decline in the price index in the three groups of foodstuffs 0.35 percent; housing 0.30 percent; and education, recreation 0.12 percent. The group that experienced an increase in index of so-called food 0.02 percent; clothing 0.52 percent; health 0.04 percent; and transport and communications group price index 0.73 percent.
