Abstract

Kendari City Inflation in April 2009 was 0.93 percent
The rise in the foodstuff group price index was 2.54 percent.
The rise in the price index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.79 percent.
The rise in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group 1.35 percent.
Decline in the index of clothing group prices -2.29 percent.
The increase in the Health Group's price index was 0.49 percent.
The increase in education, recreation and sports category index was 0.09 percent
The increase in transport group price index, communications & financial services 0.20 percent
The inflation rate of Kendari City in calendar year 2009 was 3.95 percent and inflation "year on year" was 17.28 percent (CPI April 2009 compared to April 2008 CPI).
National inflation portrait in April 2009 was recorded at -0.31 percent. Of the 66 cities that calculated the CPI, 16 cities reflected Inflation and 50 cities reflected deflation. the highest inflation occurred in Palopo City 0.99 percent and the largest deflation occurred in Jambi -1.27 percent.
