Abstract

  • By using new base year (2007 = 100), Dipenghujung year 2008 (December 2008) inflation of Kendari City of 0.45 percent with the consumer price index (CPI) of 117.45. From 66 city, recorded 39 cities experienced inflation and 27 cities experienced deflation. Inflation occurring in Tarakan 1.68 percent with CPI of 122.65 and lower at Probolinggo 0.02 percent with CPI 115.80. Deflation occurring in Ambon City was 1.84 percent with CPI 110.70 and Subscription in Town Pekanbaru and Banjarmasin 0.03 percent with CPI of 112.85 and 114.96.
  • Inflation is due to rising prices that are rising by rising indexes in the materials group food 1.78 percent; finished food, cigarettes & tobacco 0.36 percent; housing, air, electricity, gas. & ingredients burn 1.05 percent, clothing group 1.51 percent, 0.02 percent health group also group education, recreation and sports 0.09 percent. For other groups being transported, communications and financial services at the end of this year this amounted to -1.77 percent.
