Abstract

  • Inflation of Kendari City in May 2009 was -0.39 percent
  •     Decrease in foodstuff group price index by -1.13 percent.
  •     The increase in the price index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.60 percent.
  •     Decrease in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by -0.03 percent.
  •     Decline in the index of clothing group prices -0.55 percent.
  •     Increase in the price index The health group was 0.07 percent.
  •     The increase in the index of education, recreation and sports group by 0.36 percent
  •     Decline in transport group prices, communications & financial services -0.69 percent
  •     The inflation rate of Kendari in calendar year 2009 was 3.54 percent and inflation "year on year" was 14.75 percent (May 2009 CPI compared to May 2008 CPI).
  •     National inflation portrait in May 2009 was recorded at 0.04 percent. Of the 66 cities that calculated the CPI, 40 cities reflected Inflation and 26 cities reflected deflation. the highest inflation occurred in Maumere City of 1.58 percent and the largest deflation occurred in Jayapura City -1.31 percent.
