Abstract

Kendari City Inflation in April 2008 0.44 percent
Increase in raw food group price index by 2.55 percent.
The increase in the price index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.11 percent.
Decrease in price index in housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group -0.26 percent.
Decrease in the clothing group price index -2.86 percent.
Increase in price index Health group 0.12 percent.
Educational, recreational and sports groups have not changed (stable).
Decrease in transport group prices, communications & financial services -0.60 percent
National inflation portrait in April 2008 showed that out of 45 cities calculating CPI, 37 cities reflected Inflation and 8 deflationary cities. The highest inflation occurred in Palembang city of 2.38 percent, the largest deflation in Lhokseumawe -0.91 percent.
The inflation rate of Kendari City in calendar year 2008 was 3.36 and inflation "year on year" was 8.59 percent (CPI April 2008 compared to CPI April 2007).
