Abstract

  • Inflation of Kendari City in June of 2017, recorded at 3.58 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 128.17. Nationally from 82 cities calculating inflation 79 cities recorded inflation and 3 cities recorded deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Tual (Maluku Province) of 4.48 percent and the lowest inflation recorded in Merauke (Provinsi Papua) 0.12 percent. While the highest deflation was recorded in Singaraja (Province of Bali) 0.64 percent and the lowest deflation was recorded in Denpasar (Bali Province) 0.01 percent.
  • Inflation occurring in Kendari City was recorded as a result of the rise of all price indexes in the foodstuff category by 12.93 percent; Transportation, communications and financial services 1.08 percent; Health 0.92; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.62 percent; 0.35 percent clothing; Food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.08 percent. And education, recreation and sports 0.02 percent.
  • The commodities that contributed the biggest inflation were spinach; Kale; long beans; Air transport; mustard greens; Long eggplant; Electricity tariff; Skipjack / scales; The heart of bananas and bloating / bembar / banyar / gembolo / aso-aso.
  • Commodities that contribute to deflation are red onion; Women's dresses; soft drink; garlic; sago; Fridge / freezer; Long shirt sersin lady; Detergent cream soap; Floor cleaners as well as snacks / snacks.
  • Of the eleven cities on the island of Sulawesi, all cities recorded inflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Kendari (Southeast Sulawesi Province) of 3.58 percent with CPI of 128.17 while the lowest inflation was recorded in Palu (Central Sulawesi Province) 0.76 percent with CPI of 132.10.
  • The inflation rate of Kendari City in calendar year (June) 2017 was 5.33 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2017 to June 2016) was 6.17 percent.
  • The inflation rate of the same period of calendar year (June) 2016 was 2.25 percent and the inflation rate year on year (June 2016 to June 2015) was recorded at 4.37 percent.
  • National June 2017 recorded inflation 0.69 percent, inflation rate (June 2017) recorded 2.38 percent and year on year inflation rate (June 2017 to June 2016) recorded 4.37 percent.
