Abstract

Inflation Kendari City in January 2017, was recorded at 0.88 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 122.75. Nationally from 82 cities that calculates inflation, all cities recorded inflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Pontianak (West Kalimantan) 1.82 percent and the lowest inflation rate recorded in Manokwari (West Papua Province) 0.09 percent.

Inflation in Kendari recorded due to the increase in the price index of foodstuffs 1.76 percent; transportation, communication and financial services 1.53 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.40 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.31 percent; health 0.30 percent and 0.07 percent clothing. While the group recorded a negative, namely education, recreation and sport 0.01 percent.
