Abstract

The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in April 2014 was 101.29 or an increase of 0.05 percent compared to the previous month which stood at 101.24. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 93,84; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 97.95; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 105.40; Livestock Sub-sector (NTPT) 102,86; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 105,43. While the National NTP Index of 101.80 or decreased by 0.06 percent from the previous 101.86.
In April 2014, nationally 16 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index and 17 other provinces decreased. The highest increase was recorded in DKI Jakarta at 1.23 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in West Java Province by 0.81 percent.
In April 2014, rural inflation in Southeast Sulawesi rose by 0.81 percent. This was due to an increase in the food price index by 1.41 percent, food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.62 percent; housing 0.46 percent; clothing 0.26 percent; and health 0.18 percent.
