Abstract

Inflation of Kendari Municipality in August 2009 was 0.41 percent
The increase in the foodstuff group price index was 3.03 percent.
The increase in the price index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.15 percent.
The rise in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.12 percent.
The rise in the clothing price index by 0.06 percent.
An increase in the healthcare price index 1.05 percent.
The increase in index of education, recreation and sports group was 1.39 percent
Decline in transport group price indexes, communications & financial services -2.59 percent
The inflation rate of Kendari City in calendar year 2009 was 3.62 percent and inflation "year on year" was 6.02 percent (CPI in August 2009 compared to August 2008 CPI).
National inflation portrait in August 2009 was recorded at 0.56 percent. Of 66 cities that calculated CPI, 63 cities reflected Inflation and 3 cities reflected deflation. the highest inflation occurred in Manokwari City 2.00 percent and the largest deflation occurred in Sorong City 0.76 percent.
