Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
  • The NTP for each subsector is recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 102.44; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 113.78; People's Plantation Plantation Subsector (NTPR) 109.75; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.60 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 98.00. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 117.76 or an increase of 0.88 percent from the previous month's 116.73.
  • In December 2023, nationally 27 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 7 other provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Central Sulawesi Province, namely 2.22 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in South Maluku Province, amounting to 0.88 percent.
  • In December 2023, there will be an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Southeast Sulawesi by 0.06 percent, one of which is caused by an increase in the index value in the food, drink and tobacco expenditure group.
