Abstract

Kendari City July 2023 Year on Year (yoy) inflation of 3.70 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Merauke at 5.21 percent.

In July 2023 Kendari City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.70 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.20. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Merauke by 5.21 percent with a CPI of 116.10 and the lowest occurred in Gunung Sitoli by 0.50 percent with a CPI of 116.28. Meanwhile, the highest month to month (mtm) inflation occurred in Manokwari by 1.43 percent with a CPI of 121.37 and the lowest was in Bulukumba by 0.01 percent with a CPI of 115.27.

The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for July 2023 was 0.23 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for July 2023 was 1.72 percent.

Commodities contributing to yoy inflation included gasoline, rice, air transportation, colleges/universities, inner-city transportation, filter clove cigarettes, cars, household fuel, sand, and white cigarettes.

Commodities that contributed to the yoy deflation included shallots, flying fish/anchovies, anchovies, cellular phones, cayenne pepper, red chilies, moringa leaves, skipjack/fish scales, baby corn/putren, and long beans.
