Abstract

Kendari City in May 2023 Year on Year (yoy) inflation of 4.80 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 6.04 percent.

The May 2023 month to month (mtm) inflation rate was 0.71 percent and the May 2023 year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 1.13 percent.

Commodities contributing to yoy inflation include gasoline, rice, air transportation, household fuel, inner-city transportation, filter clove cigarettes, colleges/universities, cars, white cigarettes, and elementary schools.

Commodities contributing to deflation yoy include flying fish/enggol fish, anchovies, purebred chicken, spinach, cell phones, kelor leaves, mackerel/bloated fish/banyar fish/gembolo fish/aso-aso fish, collarless t-shirts / men's t-shirts, young corn / women, and young papaya.
