Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all the potential of Natural Resources has opportunities in foreign trade which is reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Export Declaration of Goods (PEB) from Customs and Excise. Commodities that have been the mainstay of Southeast Sulawesi include iron and steel and various marine products, while export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.

The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in April 2022 reached US$563.51 million, an increase of 36.93 percent compared to exports in March 2022 which were recorded at US$411.54 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in April 2022 was recorded at 229.62 thousand tons, an increase of 27.23 percent compared to the export volume in March 2022 which was recorded at 180.48 thousand tons.

The largest increase in Southeast Sulawesi's exports in April 2022 occurred in iron and steel commodities worth US$152.71 million (up 37.51 percent).

By Sector, Southeast Sulawesi's exports in April 2022 were dominated by the manufacturing sector of US$563.48 million (100.00 percent)

Southeast Sulawesi's largest export in April 2022 was to China at US$558.49 million, followed by the United States at US$3.14 million and India at US$1.39 million.
