Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all its natural resources potential has opportunities in foreign trade which is reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Export Declaration Document (PEB) from Customs and Excise. Commodities that have been the mainstay of Southeast Sulawesi include iron and steel and various marine products, while export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.
The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in August 2022 reached US$501.22 million, an increase of 41.89 percent compared to exports in July 2022 which were recorded at US$353.25 million. Meanwhile, the export volume in August 2022 was recorded at 301.94 thousand tons, an increase of 79.51 percent compared to the export volume in July 2022 which was recorded at 168.20 thousand tons.
The biggest increase in Southeast Sulawesi's exports in August 2022 occurred in Iron and Steel commodities worth US$146.88 million (up 41.92 percent) where in July it was US$350.39 million, up to US$497.27 million in August.
By Sector, Southeast Sulawesi's exports in August 2022 were dominated by the manufacturing sector of US$499.45 million (99.65 percent)
