Abstract

  • The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in September 2017 was 94.01 or an increase of 0.03 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 93.98. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 89.04; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 89.95; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 87,54; Livestock Sub-sector (NTPT) 105,53; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 114,51. While the National NTP Index of 102.22 or rose by 0.61 percent from the previous 101.60.
  •  In September 2017, nationally 24 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while 9 other provinces experienced a decrease in index. The highest increase was recorded in South Sumatra Province at 2.16 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Bangka Belitung Province of 0.95 percent.
  •  In September 2017, Southeast Sulawesi Province recorded a 0.34 percent deflation in rural areas. This occurs because of the decline in the price index in three groups: foodstuffs fell by 0.88 percent; finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco by 0.10 percent; and clothing fell 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, the housing group rose by 0.38 percent; health groups rose 0.34 percent; education, recreation and sports 0.08 percent; and transportation and communications group rose by 0.08 percent.
