Abstract

  • South East Sulawesi's NTP index in September 2014 was 101.64 or an increase of 0.06 percent compared to the previous month's recorded at 101.57. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 92.94; Horticultural Subsector (NTPH) 96,14; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 107,22; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 103.75; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 105.95. While the National NTP Index of 102.36 or rose by 0.30 percent from the previous 102.06.
  • In September 2014, nationally 17 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while another 16 provinces decreased. The highest increase was recorded in East Nusa Tenggara at 1.37 percent, the largest decline recorded in Central Kalimantan Province by 1.04 percent.
  • In September 2014, rural inflation in Southeast Sulawesi fell by 0.32 percent. This happens because of the decline in the price index in the foodstuff category by 0.95 percent.
