Abstract

  • The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in October 2014 was 102.07, or an increase of 0.43 percent compared to the previous month which stood at 101.64. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 92.77; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 96.40; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 107.85; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 104.66; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 106,22. While the National NTP Index of 102.87 or rose by 0.50 percent from the previous 102.36.
  • In October 2014, nationally 21 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while the other 12 provinces decreased. The highest increase was recorded in South Sulawesi Province at 1.30 percent, the largest decline recorded in South Sumatra Province by 0.91 percent.
  • In October 2014, rural inflation in Southeast Sulawesi declined by 0.05 percent. This is due to the decline in the price index in the foodstuffs and housing category by 0.26 percent and 0.15 percent, respectively.
