Abstract

  • Kendari City Inflation in November of 2013, was recorded at 0.04 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) at 149.58. Nationally from 66 cities calculating inflation, thirty-eight cities recorded inflation, with the highest inflation recorded in Maumere City of 1.54 percent and Pematang Siantar City at 1.39 percent. Meanwhile, the largest deflation was recorded in Sorong with 1.29 percent and Tarakan City at 1.18 percent.
  • Inflation occurring in the city of Kendari was recorded as a result of the rise of the price index in the food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco category 0.50 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.47 percent; health 0.43 percent and transport, communication and financial services 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, the index decreased by 0.44 percent; clothing 0.43 percent and education, recreation and sports 0.07 percent.
  • The inflation rate for calendar year (January-November) 2013 was recorded at 5.97 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2013 to November 2012) was 5.99 percent.
  • National inflation in November 2013 was 0.12 percent, inflation rate (January-November 2013) of 7.79 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (November 2013 to November 2012) of 8.37 percent.
