Kendari City In February 2013 recorded an inflation of 0.10 percent

Abstract

Entering the second month of 2013 (February) in the city of Kendari deflation occurred 0.10 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 141.10. Of 66 cities calculating inflation, 60 cities experienced inflation and 6 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura City of 3.15 percent with CPI of 137.44 and the lowest occurred in Sibolga City by 0.12 percent with CPI of 146.13. While the highest deflation occurred in Ambon City of 2.29 percent with CPI 140.01 and the lowest deflation occurred in Sampit City of 0.01 with IHK 141.45.
Deflation occurring in Kendari City was due to a decrease in the price index shown by the price index in the foodstuff category by 0.61 percent; 0.35 percent for clothing and 0.50 percent of transport, communications and financial services. While the group of finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel; health and education, recreation and sports increased by 0.26 percent; 0.51 percent; 0.33 percent and 0.42 percent.
The inflation rate for calendar year (January-February) of 2013 is -0.04 percent and the inflation rate year on year (February 2013 to February 2012) is 3.01 percent.
The national inflation of Ferbruari 2013 is 0.75 percent, the inflation rate for calendar year (January-February) of 2013 is 1.79 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2013 to February 2012) is 5.31 percent.
