Press Release of Official Statistics News November 1th 2024

Kendari - BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Tenggara Province has just released several of the latest strategic indicators related to Inflation, NTP, Export-Import, TPK, Transportation, Harvested Area and Rice Production.

This was conveyed by the Acting Head of BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Tenggara Province, Surianti Toar, in a press release at BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Tenggara Province office, Friday (01/11/2024). The following is a summary of the results of the press release:

1️⃣ October 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province was 0.71 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Kolaka Regency at 1.66 percent.

2️⃣ NTP of Southeast Sulawesi in October 2024 was recorded at 114.21 or decreased by 2.07 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 116.62

3️⃣ The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in September 2024 reached US$276.02 million or decreased by 13.16 percent compared to exports in August 2024 which were recorded at US$317.87 million.

4️⃣ The import value of Southeast Sulawesi in September 2024 reached US$114.58 million, decreased by 7.34 percent compared to August 2024 or increased by 30.29 percent compared to September 2023.

5️⃣ The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Southeast Sulawesi in September 2024 was recorded at 43.83 percent or increased by 3.18 points compared to the previous month.

6️⃣ The number of passengers departing by air transportation in Southeast Sulawesi Province in September 2024 fell by 5.44 percent.

7️⃣ In 2024, the rice harvest area is estimated to be 130.31 thousand hectares with rice production of around 552.97 thousand tons of dry milled grain (GKG).

8️⃣ Rice production in 2024 is estimated at 552.97 thousand tons of GKG, an increase of 73.57 thousand tons of GKG or 15.34 percent compared to rice production in 2023
