Statistics Aging Population of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2024

Along with improvements in health facilities and services, the control of increasing birth rates, rising life expectancy, and declining mortality rates, the number and proportion of the elderly population continue to increase. This phenomenon of population ageing can be utilized as a second demographic bonus, provided that there is a sufficient number of elderly people who are prosperous and productive. Therefore, careful planning and policy programs in the field of elderly welfare are required, supported by the availability of adequate data and information. The publication Statistics Aging Population of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2024 is presented to provide an overview of the demographic, educational, health, and employment conditions of the elderly. The data sources used in this publication are the results of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas).
