Statistics Aging Population of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2023

Along with improvements in healthcare facilities and services, controlled birth rates, increased life expectancy, and decreased mortality rates, the number and proportion of the elderly population continue to rise. This aging population phenomenon can be leveraged as a second demographic bonus, provided there is a sufficient number of elderly people who are prosperous and productive. To achieve this, planning and policy programs in the field of elderly welfare are needed, supported by the availability of adequate data and information.Statistics Aging Population of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2023 is presented to provide an overview of the demographic, education, health, and employment conditions of the elderly. The data sources used in this publication are the results of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the National Labor Survey (Sakernas).
