Farmers Terms of Trade Statistic of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2023

The Publication of Farmers Terms of Trade Statistic of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2023 published by the Central Statistics Agency of Sulawesi Province, presents data for 2023 covering five sub-sectors, namely food crops, horticultural crops, smallholder plantation crops, livestock, and fisheries. Since 2020, NTP is calculated with the base year (2018=100). This change in the base year is made to adjust for changes/shifts in agricultural production patterns and consumption patterns of agricultural households in rural areas. Besides presenting data on the index of prices received and paid by farmers as well as farmer exchange rates, this publication also presents the concept of definition, methodology and explanation of the weighing chart used in the preparation of the FTT. In this way, data users can understand well the process of calculating NTP. NTP as a measure of the ability of the exchange rate of goods (products) produced by farmers to goods/services consumed by farmer households, including goods and services to produce agricultural commodities.
