Farmers Terms of Trade Statistic of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2018

Publication of Farmers' Exchange Rate Statistics (NTP) of Southeast Sulawesi Province 2018 published by the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Statistics Agency, presents 2018 data which includes five sub-sectors namely food crops, horticulture plants, smallholder plantations, livestock, and fisheries. From 2014 to 2018, NTP was calculated by base year (2007 = 100). And starting in December 2013, NTP was calculated as the base year (2012 = 100). This change in base year is done to adjust changes / shifts in patterns of agricultural production and consumption patterns of agricultural households in rural areas. In addition to presenting data on price indices received and paid by farmers and farmers' exchange rates, this publication also presents concepts of definitions, methodologies and explanations of the scales diagram used in the preparation of NTPs. Thus data users can understand well the NTP calculation process as a measure of the ability of the exchange rate of goods (products) produced by farmers against goods / services consumed by farmer households, including goods and services to produce agricultural commodities.
