Abstract

  • July 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province will be 1.73 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Kendari City at 2.02 percent.
  • In July 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province will be 1.73 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.62. The highest inflation occurred in Kendari City at 2.02 percent with a CPI of 106.47 and the lowest occurred in Konawe Regency at 0.79 percent with a CPI of 106.86.
  • Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.29 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.06 percent; health group by 0.05 percent; transportation group by 0.13 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.41 percent; education group at 3.39 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.39 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.34 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 0.89 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.51 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.75 percent.
  • Southeast Sulawesi Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.16 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.11 percent.
