In July, combined Year on Year (yoy) inflation for 2 cities in Southeast Sulawesi was 3.52 percent

Abstract

In July 2023 there was a combined year-on-year (yoy) year-on-year (yoy) CPI inflation for 2 cities with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.72. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Merauke at 5.21 percent with a CPI of 116.10 and the lowest occurred in Gunungsitoli at 0.50 percent with a CPI of 116.28. Meanwhile, the highest month to month (mtm) inflation occurred in Manokwari at 1.43 percent with a CPI of 121.37 and the lowest inflation occurred in Sintang and Cilacap each at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 123.51 and 115.13 respectively. .
  • The combined inflation rate for the 2 CPI cities month to month (mtm) is 0.33 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for July 2023 is 1.62 percent.
  • Commodities contributing to yoy inflation included air transportation, rice, air transportation, filter clove cigarettes, academies/universities, inner-city transportation, cars, household fuel, white cigarettes and inter-city transportation.
  • Commodities that contributed to deflation yoy included shallots, flying fish/enggol fish, cayenne pepper, kale, anchovies, moringa leaves, red chilies, spinach, young corn/putren and long beans.
