Abstract

In April, combined Year on Year (yoy) inflation for 2 cities in Southeast Sulawesi was 5.30 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 6.75 percent.
  • In April 2023 there was a combined year-on-year (yoy) year-on-year (yoy) CPI inflation for 2 cities with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.19. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 6.75 percent with a CPI of 121.12 and the lowest occurred in Pangkal Pinang at 2.78 percent with a CPI of 114.15.
  • The combined inflation rate for the 2 CPI cities month to month (mtm) is 0.43 percent and the April 2023 year to date (ytd) inflation rate is 0.29 percent.
  • Commodities contributing to yoy inflation include air transportation, gasoline, rice, household fuel, filter clove cigarettes, cars, intra-city transportation, colleges/universities, white cigarettes and inter-city transportation.
  • Commodities that contributed to the yoy deflation included anchovies, cakalang fish/fish scales, flying fish/enggol fish, spinach, cayenne pepper, purebred chicken meat, kelor leaves, rambe fish, young papaya and eggplant.
