Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2022 was 11.27 percent, up 0.10 percentage points from March 2022 and down 0.47 points from September 2021.
  • The number of poor people in September 2022 was 314.74 thousand people, an increase of 4.95 thousand people compared to March 2022 and a decrease of 8.52 thousand people compared to September 2021.
  • The percentage of urban poor population in September 2022 was 7.22 percent, up 0.27 percentage point compared to March 2022. Meanwhile the percentage of rural poor population in September 2022 was 13.60 percent, up 0.03 percentage point from March 2022.
  • Compared to March 2022, the number of urban poor people in September 2022 increased by 3.77 thousand people (from 69.94 thousand people in March 2022 to 73.71 thousand people in September 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas increased by 1.19 thousand people (from 239.85 thousand people in March 2022 to 241.04 thousand people in September 2022).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2022 was recorded at IDR 432,464/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 326,264 (75.44 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 106,200 (24.56 percent).
  • In September 2022, on average, poor households in Indonesia have 5.27 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 2,279,085/poor household/month.
