Abstract

In December 2022 Kendari City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 7.11 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.20. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru of 8.65 percent with a CPI of 119.83 and the lowest occurred in Sorong of 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.95.

The December 2022 month to month (mtm) inflation rate was 0.52 percent and the December 2022 year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 7.11 percent.

Commodities contributing to yoy inflation include air transportation, gasoline, household fuel, inner-city transportation, academies/universities, cars, cooking oil, filter clove cigarettes, rice, and powder/liquid detergent soap.

Commodities that contributed to the yoy deflation included flying fish/engol fish, anchovies, cayenne pepper, spinach, cakalang fish/fish scales, kelor leaves, headscarves/headscarves, rambe fish, cell phones, and red chilies.
