Abstract

Kendari City in August 2022 experienced inflation of 0.36 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon at 0.82 percent.
The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–August) 2022 is 5.44 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (August 2022 against August 2021) is 5.45 percent.
Commodities that contribute to inflation include colleges/universities, household fuel, spinach, cars, sand, online 4-wheeled vehicle fares, rice, kale, instant dry noodles, and selar fish/tude.
Commodities that contributed to deflation included air transportation, shallots, scad fish/benggol fish, skipjack tuna/scale fish, red chilies, cell phones, live chickens, young corn/putren, long beans, and milkfish/sponge fish.
