Abstract

Kendari City in May 2022 experienced inflation of 1.39 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 2.24 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–May) 2022 is 3.36 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (May 2022 to May 2021) is 5.03 percent.

Commodities contributing to inflation include air transportation, mackerel/bloated fish/banyar fish/gembolo fish/aso-aso fish, cooking oil, selar fish/tude fish, kite fish/benggol fish, cars, skipjack/scale fish, anchovies, chicken eggs, and spinach.

Commodities that contributed to deflation include cayenne pepper, bananas, online 4-wheeled vehicle tariffs, powder/liquid detergent soap, gold jewelry, mukena, squid, rambe fish, online 2-wheeler rates, and red chilies.
