Abstract

The number of the workforce in August 2021 was 1,381.20 thousand people, an increase of 30.11 thousand people compared to August 2020. In line with the increase in the number of the workforce, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also increased by 0.26 percentage points.

The August 2021 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 3.92 percent, down 0.66 percentage points compared to August 2020 or down 0.30 percentage points against February 2021.

The working population is 1,327.07 thousand people, an increase of 3.83 thousand people from February 2021 and an increase of 37.84 thousand people from August 2020.

Employment that experienced the largest percentage increase from February 2021 was the Wholesale and Retail Sector (1.94 percentage point). Meanwhile, the sectors that experienced the biggest decline were the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (2.57 percentage points).
