Abstract

The rice harvested area in 2021 is estimated at 129.27 thousand hectares, a decrease of 4.43 thousand hectares or 3.31 percent compared to 2020 which was 133.70 thousand hectares.
Rice production in 2021 is estimated at 540.29 thousand tons of GKG, an increase of 7.52 thousand tons of GKG or 1.41 percent compared to 2020 which was 532.77 thousand tons of GKG.
If the potential for rice production in 2021 is converted into rice for food consumption for the population, then rice production in 2021 is estimated at 308.68 thousand tons, an increase of 4.3 thousand tons or 1.41 percent compared to 2020 which was 304.38 thousand tons.
