Abstract

  • Southeast Sulawesi's NTP in October 2021 was recorded at 100.84 or an increase of 1.09 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 99.75.
  • The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which increased by 0.45 percent, lower than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which decreased by 0.63 percent.
  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 97.17; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 114.90; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTPR) 99.09; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 105.59 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 103.90. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 106.67 or increased by 0.93 percent from the previous 105.68.
  • In October 2021, nationally 28 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 6 other provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Bengkulu Province at 2.94 percent, while the largest decline was recorded in Gorontalo Province at 1.21 percent.
  •  In October 2021, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Southeast Sulawesi by 0.84 percent due to a decrease in the index value in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
