Abstract

  • Kendari City deflation in October 2020 was recorded at 0.48 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.04. Of the 90 cities, 24 cities experienced deflation and 66 cities experienced inflation. The deepest deflation was recorded in Manokwari (West Papua Province) at 1.81 percent with a CPI of 105.12 and the lowest deflation was recorded in Surabaya (East Java Province) 0.02 percent with a CPI of 104.03.
  • Deflation that occurred in Kendari City was caused by a decrease in the price index in the clothing and footwear group by 0.96 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group 0.92 percent; group personal care and other services 0.51 percent; transportation group 0.47 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group of 0.18 percent. Groups that experienced inflation included the recreation, sports and culture group, the health group and the household routine equipment group each at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group, the education group, and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group did not experience any changes / were relatively stable.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation include electricity rates, mackerel / mackerel / banyar fish / gembolo / aso-aso fish, young corn / putren, long beans, men's jeans, bananas, anchovies, skipjack / scales. , air transport, and flying fish / benggol.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation include rice, bird's eye chilies, red chilies, live chicken, lime / limes, eggplant, online 4-wheeled vehicle rates, milkfish / sponge fish, biscuits, and sugar.
