Abstract

  • Human development in Southeast Sulawesi in 2016 continues to progress as marked by the ever-increasing Human Development Index (HDI). By 2016, Southeast Sulawesi's HDI has reached 69.31. This figure increased by 0.56 points compared to Southeast Sulawesi's HDI of 68.75 in 2015
  • In 2016, human development in Southeast Sulawesi is still "moderate", still the same as its status in 2015. Southeast Sulawesi's HDI in 2016 grew by 0.81 percent compared to 2015.
  • During the period 2015 to 2016, the components of the HDI also increased. Newborns have an opportunity to live up to 70.46 years, an increase of 0.02 years compared to the previous year. Children aged 7 years have an opportunity to attend school for 13.24 years, an increase of 0.17 years compared to 2015. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and over on average have been educated for 8.32 years, increased by 0, 14 years compared to the previous year. The per capita expenditure adjusted (constant 2012 prices) of the community has reached 8.871 million rupiah in 2016, an increase of Rp 174 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
