Abstract

  • The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in November 2014 was 101.23, or decreased by 0.83 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 102.07. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 93.00; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 97.06; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 105.90; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 103.52; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 104.85. While the National NTP Index of 102.37 or decreased by 0.49 percent from the previous 102.87.
  • In November 2014, nationally 5 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while the other 28 provinces decreased. The highest increase was recorded in North Maluku Province of 0.24 percent, the largest decline recorded in Riau Islands Province by 2.02 percent.
  • In November 2014, rural inflation in Southeast Sulawesi rose by 0.95 percent. This happened because of the increase of price index in six groups of NTP compilers. Foodstuffs rose by 0.61 percent; finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.69 percent; housing by 0.76 percent; health 0.61 percent; education, recreation, and sports 0.20 percent; as well as transport and communications rose by 3.75 percent.
