Abstract

  • South East Sulawesi's NTP index in March 2014 was 101.24, an increase of 0.50 percent compared to the previous month's 100.73. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 94.94; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 97.90; Plantation Crops Subsector (NTPR) 104.33; Livestock Sub-sector (NTPT) 103.19; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 105.95. While the National NTP Index of 101.86 or rose by 0.07 percent from the previous 101.79.
  •  In March 2014, nationally 25 provinces experienced an increase in NTP Index, 1 province did not experience any change in NTP index, and 7 other provinces decreased. The highest increase was recorded in Riau Province at 1.52 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in DKI Jakarta at 1.19 percent.
  • In March 2014, rural inflation in Southeast Sulawesi rose by 0.05 percent. This is due to an increase in the price index in the food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.44 percent; housing 0.66 percent; clothing 0.16 percent; health 0.80 percent; education, recreation, and sports 0.47 percent; and transportation and communication 0.20 percent.
