Abstract

Economic Condition of Consumer Quarter IV-2013

The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of Sulawesi Tengggara in Quarter IV-2013 was 108.57, meaning that the consumer's economic condition increased from the previous quarter. The level of public optimism is lower than that in Quarter III-2013 (index value of 114.52).
Improved consumer economic conditions are mainly driven by increased household incomes, low inflationary effects on daily food consumption, and increased consumption of some food and non-food commodities.

Consumer Economy Outlook Quarter I-2014

The value of ITK Sulawesi Tengggara in the first quarter of 2014 by the public is estimated to reach 106.92, meaning that the consumer's economic condition by society is expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is estimated to be lower than the fourth quarter of 2013 (ITK value of 108.57).
Improvement in consumer economic condition in the first quarter of 2014 is predicted to occur due to an increase in consumer income and is reinforced by an increase in procurement plans for durable goods by consumers.
