Abstract

  • In March 2012, NTP of each sub-sector in Southeast Sulawesi was recorded as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTP-P) 86.48; Horticultural Subsector (NTP-H) 122,27; Subsector of Smallholder Plantations (NTP-R) 122,45; Livestock Subsector (NTP-Pt) 90.87 and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTP-Pi) 107.73. Where the Southeast Sulawesi NTP recorded 106.51 or increased 0.38 percent compared to the previous month, or ranked sixth nationally. While the National NTP of 104.68 or decreased by 0.40 percent.
  • In March 2012, 9 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, 2 provinces did not experience any change in NTP while 21 other provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase of NTP occurred in West Kalimantan Province of 1.12 percent. While the largest decrease of NTP occurred in Central Java Province that is equal to 0.86 percent.
  • In March 2012, the rural consumer price index in Southeast Sulawesi increased by 0.06 percent. This was due to an increase in the price index in all but the foodstuff category, the upticked 0.34 percent; housing 0.54 percent; 0.32 percent clothing; health 0.69 percent; education, recreation 0.34 percent; and transport and communications group price index 0.21 percent. While the price index of the foodstuff group fell 0.20 percent.
