Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's export value in July 2010 was US $ 96.71 million or a sharp increase of 4 123.14 percent compared to June 2010's export of US $ 2.29 million. Meanwhile, export volume in July 2010 was recorded at 870.54 thousand tons or an increase of 776.59 percent compared to June 2010 export of 99.31 thousand tons.
The export value in July 2010 was dominated by iron and steel commodities group which recorded 80.56 percent then the commodity group of metal ore, slag and ash which was recorded 19.41 percent, the rest of the commodity group of fish and shrimp, other dominant export volume the metal ore, slag and ash commodities group accounted for 98.17 percent, followed by the 1.82 percent commodity group of iron and steel commodities from the fish and shrimp commodity group.
In July 2010 there were seven export destination countries, namely Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Netherlands, Switzerland and Hongkong. China with the largest volume of 774.95 thousand tons (89.02%) or US $ 16.98 million (17.56%), Australia with a volume of 51.72 thousand tons (5.94%) or worth US $ 0.53 million (0.55%), Japan with a volume of 27.90 thousand tons (3.20%) or US $ 1.26 million (1.30%), and the rest of the Netherlands, South Korea, Switzerland and Hongkong lowest.
The largest export of Southeast Sulawesi through the port of Pomalaa with a volume of 576.68 thousand tons (66.23%) with a value of US $ 91.85 (94.97%) and Kendari with a volume of 177.55 thousand tons (20.40% ) with a value of US $ 2.94 (3.04%) remaining through Haluoleo Airport and the lowest through Bau-Bau port.
Southeast Sulawesi's total exports during 2010 reached 3 618.26 thousand tons or US $ 306.54 million.
