Abstract

  • Inflation of Kendari City in December 2009 by 0.11 percent  Decrease in foodstuff group price index -2.27 percent.  Increase in the price index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.48 percent.
  • Increase in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.03 percent.
  • Increase in the clothing group price index by 0.40 percent.
  • Increase in the health group price index by 0.89 percent.
  • Increase in education, recreation and sport category price index by 0.65 percent
  • Increase in transportation, communications & financial services category index 2.55 percent
  • Inflation rate of Kendari City in calendar year 2009 and inflation year-on-year (CPI December 2009 compared CPI December 2008) of 4.60 percent.
  • National inflation portrait in December 2009 was recorded at 0.33 percent. Of the 66 cities that calculated the CPI, 48 cities reflected Inflation and 18 cities reflected deflation. the highest inflation occurred in Ambon City 3.49 percent and the largest deflation occurred in Maumere City 0.83 percent.
