Abstract

Inflation of Kendari Municipality in January 2008 1.94 percent
Increase in the food stuff group price index by 2.40 percent.
Group of finished foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco has not changed (stable).
An increase in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 3.41 percent.
An increase in the clothing price index of 4.70 percent.
An increase in the Health Group price index by 0.81 percent.
Educational, recreational and sports groups have not changed (stable).
Increase in transportation, communications & financial services category index 0.02 percent
National inflation picture in January 2008 showed that from 45 cities that calculated CPI, all cities reflected Inflation, with the highest inflation occurring in Palangkaraya City 5.02 percent and inflation the lowest occurred in Manado City 0.10 percent.
The inflation rate of Kendari City in calendar year 2007 was 1.94 and inflation "year on year" was 7.49 percent (CPI January 2008 compared to CPI January 2008).
