Human Development Index of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2024

Human Development Index of Sulawesi Tenggara Province 2024 is an indicator of the achievement in improving the quality of human life, compiled based on three fundamental dimensions: a long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. During the 2020–2024 period, Southeast Sulawesi's HDI experienced positive and increasingly rapid growth, in line with economic recovery that contributed to the growth of adjusted real expenditure per capita and other components that also grew consistently.The development of HDI at the regional level also showed continued improvement, with some areas even experiencing acceleration. HDI disparities at the regional level tended to narrow, as areas with lower HDI achievements generally grew faster than other regions. HDI growth in 2024 by gender also showed increasingly positive trends, with both male and female HDI growing positively. Female HDI grew faster than male HDI, thereby reducing the gap between the two and improving the Gender Development Index (GDI) achievement.
