Southeast Sulawesi Economy in Q3-2024 Grows 5.24 Percent (y-on-y)

Abstract

  • The economy of Southeast Sulawesi based on the size of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the third quarter of 2024 reached IDR 47.94 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached IDR 28.78 trillion.
  • The economy of Southeast Sulawesi in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the second quarter of 2024 experienced a growth of 3.65 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Construction Business Sector experienced the highest growth of 23.72 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) Component of 12.46 percent.
  • The economy of Southeast Sulawesi in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2023 experienced a growth of 5.24 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security Business Sector experienced the highest growth of 18.88 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Consumption Component of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 12.59 percent.
  • The economy of Southeast Sulawesi until the third quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 5.51 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the Manufacturing Industry Business Sector experienced the highest growth of 16.36 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Consumption Component of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 15.50 percent.
  • In terms of production, the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Business Sector provided the most dominant contribution to Southeast Sulawesi's GRDP of 22.47 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the most dominant contribution occurred in the Household Consumption Expenditure Component of 45.79 percent.
