Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all its natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade which are reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Goods Export Notification Document (PEB) from Customs and Excise. Commodities that have been Southeast Sulawesi's mainstay include iron and steel and various marine products, while export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.
Southeast Sulawesi's export value in April 2024 reached US$319.41 million or an increase of 12.00 percent compared to exports in March 2024 which was recorded at US$285.20 million. Correspondingly, the export volume in April 2024 was recorded at 230.58 thousand tons or an increase of 4.80 percent compared to the export volume in March 2024 which was recorded at 220.02 thousand tons.
The import value of Southeast Sulawesi in April 2024 reached US$106.42 million, down 41.59 percent compared to March 2024 or down 18.15 percent compared to April 2023.
The import volume in April 2024 was worth 304.30 thousand tons, down 49.64 percent compared to March 2024 or up 17.18 percent compared to April 2023.
The largest decrease in the value of imports of goods in April 2024 compared to March 2024 was mineral fuels amounting to US$ 62.40 million (down 51.22 percent).
